Garages and workshops
Turn the garage into a year-round workspace without extending your home's ductwork.
Zoned comfort · No ductwork needed
Got a garage, addition, or bonus room your main system can't reach? A ductless mini-split heats and cools that space on its own, with no ducts required.

A ductless mini-split is a heat pump split into two parts: a slim wall-mounted indoor unit and a compact outdoor unit, connected by a small line set through the wall. No ducts, no tearing open ceilings. It heats in winter and cools in summer, and each indoor zone gets its own control. Here's where we install them most around Gallatin:
Turn the garage into a year-round workspace without extending your home's ductwork.
New square footage that your existing system was never sized to handle.
That room over the garage that's freezing in January and sweltering in July.
Older cottages near the historic square that were never built for central air.
One stubborn bedroom or office that your central system never quite satisfies.
Foxland Harbor places with enclosed porches or lower levels that need their own zone.
If your whole house already has good ductwork, a central AC installation or heating installation is usually the better value. Mini-splits shine where ducts can't go or don't reach. Not sure which fits? Call (615) 412-2495 and we'll look at the space and tell you straight.
Install day
Most single-zone installs take about half a day; multi-zone systems take a full day. No ductwork means no drywall dust and no week-long project:
Because there's no ductwork to lose energy through, ductless systems are among the most efficient ways to condition a space. Look for ENERGY STAR certified systems when comparing models. The rating tells you the efficiency has been independently verified.
Repairs
Mini-splits are reliable, but they're still mechanical systems. When one acts up, the symptoms are familiar:
We service all major mini-split brands, including Goodman, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, and LG. And if your mini-split is limping along on borrowed time, we'll give you an honest read on repair versus replacement: same repair-first approach as everything else we do.

Common questions
It is worth it when you have a space your ducted system cannot serve well: a garage, an addition, a sunroom, or an older home without ductwork. Because there are no ducts to lose energy through, mini-splits are very efficient for zoned comfort. For whole-home cooling where good ducts already exist, a central system is usually the better value.
Three things drive the price: the number of indoor zones, the capacity each zone needs, and the difficulty of the installation, such as long line-set runs or tricky wall and electrical routing. A single-zone setup for one room costs far less than a five-zone system covering half the house. We quote every job in writing after seeing the space.
One outdoor unit can typically serve two to five indoor zones, depending on the model and total capacity. Each indoor unit gets its own remote or thermostat, so a hot upstairs bedroom and a cool downstairs office can each run on their own schedule. We will size the outdoor unit so it can carry every zone running at once.
The washable filters in each indoor unit should be rinsed every month or two, which takes five minutes and keeps airflow strong. Once a year, have a technician deep-clean the indoor coils and blower wheel, check refrigerant levels, and clear the condensate drain. Skipped maintenance is the most common cause of weak cooling and musty smells.
